We can saw your logs into dimensional lumber, live edge slabs, beams, cookies or posts. We can cut a beam or board up to 24 feet 7 inches long! We can help you create that unique and special bench out of that misshapen log. Let your imagination run wild! We specialize in smaller projects. Larger projects where you have many logs to mill may be referred to one of the quality sawyers in the area that are better suited to handle these type of projects. Kiln drying is done for a number of reasons. Two of the main functions of drying fresh wood is to adjust the moisture content to a level that leaves the wood stable so it can be used in woodworking projects and to sanitize the wood leaving it free from pests. Another use is to set the pitch in pine products like in live edge benches. Our new Nyle Kiln is used for all these functions and has been a great asset to our friends.

Repurposing logs cut down by the power company is always a good thing, and donating them benefits you when considering that having them moved can result in an extra cost to you. Sometimes the cost of moving the log can be higher than actually milling it!

If the logs are saw-log quality, we might be able to use them or saw them up for your use! These donated logs are picked up free of charge if they are in our area. If you want to use the logs, a quote will be provided for your consideration.

Basic labor rate is $60/hr with a one-hour minimum or charged per board foot milling fee, based on what benefits you most. Please contact us for a generalized quote on your specific project.

Blade resharpening fee is $9/blade used; $35 if the bandsaw blade is ruined by objects embedded in the log.
